Women on Mission

God's Mission. Our Passion.

The Women on Mission of FBC Cleburne exists to make disciples of Jesus who live on mission.
THIS ISN'T YOUR MOMMA'S WOMEN ON MISSION MINISTRY!

What Is Women on Mission?

Always seeking new ways to reach out to the women of Cleburne and Johnson County, Texas, the Women on Mission of FBC Cleburne decided to try something new - take the classic Women on Mission, or as some may know as WMU (Women's Missionary Union), ministry of equipping and educating ladies for mission work going on around the world and here in Cleburne, and putting a new spin on things.

A few things that may be different from what you have seen other Women on Mission/WMU ministries do:

  1. All meetings/gatherings will take place via Facebook LIVE (you will need to have a personal Facebook account to view). There may be times for special meetings at FBC Cleburne, but the majority of gatherings and meetings can be viewed on your phone, tablet, or computer. You can find us on Facebook by CLICKING HERE or searching for @WMUofFirstBaptistCleburne on Facebook.
  2. Women on Mission is primarily geared toward ladies. However, there will be times we will want men to join us in a special mission effort or study. Bottom line: anyone and everyone is welcome to visit our site and watch our videos – you don’t even have to be a member of FBC Cleburne!
  3. You will always have contact with the leadership of FBC Cleburne’s /Women on Mission through Facebook, email, or phone. You don’t have to wait until the next meeting to ask a question or submit an idea for ministry.
We are excited for this renewed ministry that has been around for over 125 years. Please join us when you can.

Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC) is an organization started by the Women’s Missionary Union of the Southern Baptist Convention to minister to women who have been left behind the mainstream of society due to unfortunate circumstances in their lives such as domestic violence, substance abuse, divorce, or lack of education and training. These women need the hope offered in Christ to gain self-esteem and to enter the work force. Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC) has a Fall and Spring semester each year.
